Getting Started
How does a family get a memorial?
Your staff create the memorial in the partner dashboard on the family's behalf. The family never has to sign up or navigate an unfamiliar platform. Once the memorial is ready you can hand ownership over to the family so they can continue managing it themselves.
Do families need to create their own accounts?
No. You initiate and build the memorial for the family. Once you're ready to hand over, you send the family an owner invitation. Everything is handled through your dashboard on their behalf from the start.
How quickly can a memorial be published?
Staff can have a memorial live within minutes of starting: add the name, dates, obituary text, and a photo, then publish. You can continue enriching the page with additional content in the background while the family already has somewhere to share.
Branding and Domains
Is the memorial branded as our funeral home?
Yes. Memorual is a white-label platform: your logo, colours, and brand identity are applied throughout. Families experience a memorial that feels like a natural extension of your funeral home, not a third-party product.
Can we use our own domain name?
Yes. You point a custom domain at your organisation and all memorials are served under it. Families share links on your domain, reinforcing your brand at every touchpoint.
Will Memorual branding appear on the memorial pages?
No. Memorials run under your brand and your domain. There is no Memorual watermark or vendor branding visible to families or the public.
Handover and Families
What is the handover process?
Your staff create and prepare the memorial, then send the family an owner invitation when it's ready. The family accepts the invitation and can then manage and personalise the memorial themselves. You choose what level of ongoing access your team retains.
What can families do on the memorial after handover?
Families can edit the obituary, add photos, manage the gallery, update service details, add quotes, and curate the tribute wall. Visitors can leave tribute messages, share memories, and light candles, all subject to the moderation settings you and the family configure.
Can your staff still help after the family takes ownership?
Yes. You choose the level of access your team keeps after handover, from full co-management to a read-only view. This lets you continue supporting the family without overriding their ownership.
Moderation and Content
How does content moderation work?
Tributes, memories, and other public submissions go through a moderation queue before appearing on the memorial. Your staff control the queue, so inappropriate or unwanted content never surfaces without review.
Who approves tribute messages?
Your team manages the moderation queue by default. After handover, the family can take over moderation, or you can share the responsibility; it depends on how you configure the memorial.
Pricing
How is Memorual priced for funeral homes?
Memorual uses per-memorial invoicing billed directly to your funeral home. There are no consumer subscriptions and no charges to families. Speak with us about the right arrangement for your organisation.
Are families charged anything?
No. The memorial is an inclusive service you provide. Invoicing goes to your funeral home on a per-memorial basis, keeping the experience completely cost-free for the family.
How do I find out about pricing?
Book a demo and we'll walk you through the platform and discuss an arrangement that fits your volume and requirements. There's no public self-serve pricing; we work with each partner individually.
Privacy and Longevity
Can a memorial be kept private?
Yes. Each memorial can be set to public (accessible to anyone with the link) or password-protected (shared only with people the family chooses). You decide the default when creating the memorial, and the family can adjust it after handover.
Who owns the memorial long-term?
After the handover, the family owns the memorial. It remains a lasting, accessible page under your brand, a permanent record of their loved one's life that the family controls.
Will the memorial stay online?
That is our commitment. Memorual is designed to be a permanent home for a loved one's memory. Long-term hosting is built into the platform so the memorial remains accessible for the family indefinitely.
